Where it started

In recent years, Jara has been shaped by invaluable on-site experiences and lessons learnt. Our journey began with a clear recognition of the challenges faced with IoT products in South Africa's mining landscape - ranging from inadequate international support and operational knowledge gaps to technologies ill-suited for local conditions. Through rigorous troubleshooting, we pioneered innovative IoT solutions to overcome these obstacles.
Initially focused on enabling reliable data transmission from remote and even subterranean locations exceeding depths of 3km below surface, Jara IoT Technologies emerged. What started as isolated hobby projects swiftly evolved into a cornerstone for real-time data capture in the most remote environments. By integrating diverse communication technologies and applying creative solutions tailored to specific sensing parameters, we ensure robust and dependable systems.

Beyond hardware, we emphasize the critical role of user-friendly control, data visualisation and analytics.
